L'Umami refers to the umami sense that wild mushrooms often provide. The vineyards are surrounded by edible local mushrooms. Acclaimed French winemaker Laurent Montalieu of Four Graces and Solena Fame, decided to use the name L'Umami to showcase a very fresh, clean, savory style of Oregon Pinot Noir.
