Winegrower Gary Pisoni comes from generations of farmers who tended crops long before he was born. Today winemaker son Jeff and grape grower son Mark created the Pisoni label, realeasing the first estate Pinot Noir in 1998. Lucia later debuted in 2000. Pisoni fruit quickly became highly prized in California and put Santa Lucia Highlands on the map, becoming one of California's cult vineyards.

This 2014 Pinot Noir is rich and vibrant, with a deep red color and bouquet of violets and rose petals. Also some aromas of plums, boysenberries and promegranate. 2014 was a dry producing year, yieldding soft and rounded tannins with a long finish.
