The wines from the village of Langlade, close to the city of Nimes, once had the reputation comparable to the wines of Burgundy. Langlade wines were served at the table of Louis XIV in Versailles. The 1850;s Philoxera then destroyed the 600 Ha of vines that belonged to the Cru de Langlade, including the local's memories of the area's great potential. 200 private cellats out of a village of 600 souls. All gone.

The wine displays notes of a smoky character, toasted nut, typical for the slightly reductive side of Carignan rise from the glass, along with smoky Keemun tea and scents of fresh blackberry and elderberry scents. Making the wine a crowd pleaser.
